Own workstreams end-to-end: frame, model, and recommend to execs
Lead high-stakes strategy shaping the Group's biggest decisions
What's the role?
Reporting to a 'Head Of' within Group Strategy, you'll lead strategy work on some of the Group's most complex and commercially significant questions. This is a hands‐on role for an experienced strategy professional who can operate with judgement, structure ambiguity, and guide work from problem definition through to executive decision making.
You'll own end‐to‐end workstreams across Group‐wide and business‐level strategy projects. This includes framing problems, setting hypotheses, directing analysis and modelling, shaping strategic options, and developing clear, decision‐ready recommendations for senior executives.
You'll work closely with senior leaders across the Group and play a key role in setting the analytical direction of projects, maintaining quality, and guiding junior team members. This is not a delivery, PMO, or transformation role – the focus is on strategy development and executive decision support, not implementation.
What do I need?
* 4Plus years of professional strategy consulting experience, ideally from a top‐tier or recognised strategy consulting firm.
* Proven experience leading strategy workstreams, including:
o framing complex, ambiguous problems
o setting hypotheses and analytical direction
o running qualitative and quantitative analysis including model building
o shaping clear strategic options and recommendations for senior executives
* Intellectual curiosity and ability to build rapport with the business and support functions.
* Demonstrated ability to challenge respectfully, operate with limited guidance and navigate trade‐offs in uncertain environments.
* Experience owning workstreams or projects, managing priorities, and guiding junior team members while maintaining high standards of quality and pace.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of producing and presenting structured, persuasive materials to senior stakeholders.
* High attention to detail, comfort working to tight deadlines, and the ability to collaborate effectively across small, high‐performing teams.
* High proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word (essential).
* Proficient with safe and compliant AI tools to enhance productivity.
* Financial Services experience is helpful but not required – strategy capability matters more than industry background.
