About the Role
As a Kitchen Steward, you play a key role in keeping kitchen operations efficient and up to standard. You will help maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment while supporting the culinary team in delivering high-quality service.
Working closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef, you'll assist with daily kitchen tasks and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on achieving shared goals.
This is a hands‐on, fast‐paced position offering great exposure and opportunities to grow your career in hospitality, both within Australia and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate commercial dishwashers and other kitchen cleaning equipment
* Ensure all kitchen areas, surfaces, and equipment are kept clean and orderly
* Remove waste regularly and store equipment appropriately
* Follow company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards at all times
* Support chefs with general kitchen duties as required
Requirements
* Availability to work a rotating 7-day roster, including mornings, evenings, and public holidays
* Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen environment
* Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
* Reliable transport
