We are seeking an experienced EEHA/E&I Engineer or suitably qualified EEHA/E&I Technical Specialist to support ongoing inspection, compliance, and remediation activities within hazardous area installations.
This role will suit a practical, detail-oriented professional with strong working knowledge of explosive atmospheres (EEHA) and relevant standards, who can confidently assess, document, and advise on compliance issues in operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct desktop assessments of hazardous area (Ex) equipment and installations
* Review and interpret EEHA documentation, including drawings, registers, and certification
* Identify non-conformances and provide clear, practical recommendations
* Support the development and maintenance of hazardous area registers
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders to resolve technical compliance issues
* Contribute to reporting and close-out of identified defects
About You:
* Certified Ex Engineer or demonstrable, extensive EEHA experience
* Strong understanding of AS/NZS 60079 series and hazardous area compliance requirements
* Experience in inspection, maintenance, or auditing of Ex equipment
* Ability to work autonomously and manage workload across multiple priorities
* Strong communication and reporting skills
Desirable:
* Experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy industry environments
* Previous involvement in remediation programs or large-scale audits
* Electrical trade or engineering background
