Key Responsibilities
As a member of our team, reporting to the Orchard Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Engaging in all aspects of general farm work, including maintenance, repairs, and identifying safety hazards
* Assisting with the installation of irrigation systems
* Planting and pruning
* Operating farm machinery, with training provided on-site
* Assisting with the application of herbicides and pesticides
* Working precisely to ensure compliance with work health and safety standards
* Contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment
Requirements
* You will hold a C class drivers’ licence (essential)
* You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with potential for Saturday work)
* A positive, can-do attitude is essential
* Attention to detail, in machinery, orchard work and safety
* You will have experience working on a farm (preferred but not essential)
* A holder of a Chemical Users Certificate (preferred but not essential)
* Certificate II or III in Rural Studies or Horticulture or Agriculture (preferred but not essential)
