What Does a Day as a Team Leader for Toll look like?
* Lead and manage the team, ensuring safe and efficient asset maintenance
* Working on the tools alongside the team (yes, this is a hands-on role)
* Ensure compliance with OEM specifications and legislative requirements at all times
* Drive team efficiencies and promote a culture of continuous improvement
* Monitor and maintain team performance to meet both strategic and operational goals
* Foster a positive team environment through strong communication, guidance, and support
* Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel machinery, including American and European trucks and trailers
* Ordering and replacing parts as needed, keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used
* Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
* Communicating effectively with Workshop Manager, Supervisors and other team members
Our Desired Key Skills and Experience:
* Australian or NZ recognised Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
* Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
* Demonstrated experience working on heavy diesel vehicles
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and drive team outcomes
* High level of professionalism and integrity in all work interactions
* Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively
* Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems
* Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Commitment to workplace safety
