Offer description

With eight design studios worldwide, chances are you've encountered our work.

We specialise in architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and urban design. Our diverse, multi-disciplinary team brings together a wealth of skills and perspectives that unlock the economic, social, and cultural potential of projects.

Across our studios we connect insight and creativity, creating a better future by designing the world's best places – places people love, is what drives us.

At Hassell, we're dedicated to sustainability and regenerative design. Our designers play a pivotal role in shaping a better future for communities and our planet. Join us in making a lasting impact.

We're looking for a talented leader to join our Perth studio and play a key role in delivering some of our most exciting projects.

You'll bring deep design knowledge and the confidence to lead complex projects from concept through construction. You'll be ready to take ownership of project delivery, client relationships, and coordination with consultants and contractors.

This role takes a leadership role in innovative and sustainable design, lead medium–large projects and build strong client relationships. You will work across sectors, bringing design judgement, structured project leadership and a collaborative approach to every project.

The role also provides the opportunity to contribute to the wider business beyond project delivery. This includes leading or participating in practice-wide initiatives, working groups, and sector or capability leadership roles.

You will be recognised for your expertise, sought out for guidance, and play a significant role in mentoring, developing and supporting others.

Qualifications

* 10+ years of experience as an Architect, ideally with registration (or eligibility for registration in WA)
* Strong experience in commercial/or health architecture is preferred
* You are operating at Project Leader/Senior Associate level
* Proven ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary design team
* Demonstrated experience on complex building projects
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with confidence engaging directly with clients and contractors
* Deep understanding of design management, documentation, and coordination processes
* Proven ability to lead projects through all phases – from design to delivery
* Confident client communicator and natural collaborator
* Excellent technical and construction knowledge, including contract administration skills
* Revit proficiency and experience working in multidisciplinary teams
* You understand how design intent translates to the built environment — balancing creativity with a solid grasp of construction detailing, technical delivery, and commercial contracts.
* You'll thrive in a collaborative environment, leading teams and communicating clearly with clients and stakeholders.
