Whites Hill State College Primary is seeking a Deputy Principal for a temporary full-time position until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined. The Deputy Principal plays a pivotal role in shaping a dynamic, high-performing learning culture. This position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers and teams for the design and delivery of the Australian Curriculum.
The Deputy Principal builds staff capability in the alignment of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment through high levels of collaboration and data informed practice, aligning practices to Departmental resources and policies. The Deputy Principal focuses on the delivery of the intended to the enacted, using effective moderation processes to ensure a learner-centred approach.

About the Role:
* Lead the design and implementation a high-quality, aligned curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices, through the whole school approach to moderation, reflecting Departmental resources and policies.
* Drive evidence-informed, engaging pedagogy that supports consistent, high-impact teaching practices across all year levels and all learning areas
* Foster student engagement and wellbeing through inclusive, responsive and differentiated learning experiences.
* Build teacher capability through collaborative planning, mentoring, coaching and professional learning communities (locally known as Professional Collaboration Time - PCTs)
* Provide strategic and innovative leadership that contributes to whole-school improvement and sustained academic growth and student engagement in learning.
* Model and promote high-level interpersonal skills that build trust, collaboration and shared accountability among staff, students and families.
* Communicate clearly, professionally and proactively with all stakeholders to support transparency and alignment of expectations.
* Demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet timelines and respond to the needs of the school.
* Contribute to a positive, future-focused school culture grounded in reflective practice, continuous improvement and collective efficacy.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
* Improve the educational outcomes and wellbeing of all primary student
* Strengthen the quality of teaching and learning through evidence-based practice
* Lead curriculum focus in alignment with WHSC strategic priorities and Department initiatives, including early years transition and support bilingual pathways
* Build and nurture positive, productive relationships across the school community
