About the Role

As a Social Worker in our Inpatients Unit Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, you will have the opportunity to coordinate support for patients while they are in our care. This role requires provision of quality and safe care for people with mental illness, disorder or dysfunction, emotional difficulties, life transition, distress, and crisis using contemporary recovery-based practices in accordance with professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide high-quality care and support to patients with mental health issues, including assessment, planning, and intervention

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
* Current registration as a Social Worker with the relevant state or territory regulatory body
* Experience working in mental health, preferably in an inpatient setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect
* Knowledge of contemporary recovery-based practices and commitment to evidence-based care
* Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and situations, with a focus on flexibility and resilience
