Consisting of a retail shop - stocking 80+ First Nations brands - a cafe, a gallery, co-working desks, and meeting/conference rooms, Murran is a place where creativity, connection and business come together.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a dynamic and community-minded Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander leader to take on the role of Manager at the Murran Hub.
This is an identified position and is only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants, as permitted by the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic) Section 12.
This role will see you:
* Lead the vision and day-to-day operations of Murran
* Manage a small, passionate team
* Activate and maintain a culturally safe, welcoming space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
* Build relationships with customers, creatives, businesses and partners
* Manage budgets, systems and resources effectively
* Champion the values of self-determination, cultural integrity and community voice
You'll work closely with the CEO and broader Ngarrimili team to ensure Murran continues to be a beacon of creativity, connection and economic empowerment.
ABOUT YOU
You're someone who:
* Is Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
* Has experience in managing community or creative spaces, or place-based programs
* Is a values-driven leader with strong organisational and project management skills
* Builds strong, respectful relationships with community and stakeholders
* Thrives in culturally safe, collaborative and practical environments
* Believes in the power of First Nations-led spaces and initiatives
