Senior Solution Architect
Lead Architecture & Delivery Readiness – Fintech
Our client is well established medium sized FinTech specialising in payments solutions.
The
Senior Solution Architect
will own the end to end architecture and design process, and ensure architectural direction, patterns and decisions for new and existing products and features.
Reporting to the CTO, this role is available both as a 12 months contract role or a permanent position.
The work arrangement will be hybrid with an average of 3 days per week in the office.
This role owns the end-to-end solution architecture for products and platforms, ensuring scalability, security, dependencies and compliance across all client facing initiatives.
You'll provide architectural clarity, uplift delivery readiness, and lead and mentor a small team of Business Analysts to deliver high-quality requirements and user stories.
Key responsibilities:
* Architectural Leadership:
Drive solution design, patterns, and standards for new products, features, and compliance initiatives. Scalability, integration, dependencies and PoC work.
* Cross-Functional Alignment:
Collaborate with Product, IT, and Operations to ensure technical feasibility and architectural integrity.
* Team Leadership and mentoring:
Lead and develop Business Analysts, ensuring clarity and quality in requirements and specifications.
* Delivery Readiness:
Influence prioritization, sequencing, and sprint preparation to enable predictable, high-quality delivery.
* Compliance & Security:
Embed security-by-design and ensure adherence to PCI DSS, AML/CTF, and Australian Privacy Principles.
Your background:
* 10+ years in Solution Architecture or complex systems design. Payments or e-Commerce style solutions and how they integrate
* Strong development background – you know how a solution is built, you can explain how and why
* Proven leadership in leading or managing small teams and influencing Agile delivery.
* Expertise in integrations, APIs, microservices, and architectural governance.
* Experience in regulated environments or fintech/ payments or similar would be great
* Certifications like TOGAF or AWS/Azure Architect are a plus.
