About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a senior staff member to join the friendly and supportive Acute Allied Health Services Psychology team. We are inviting a suitably qualified Neuropsychologist with a minimum of three years of experience working as a psychologist to apply. We work closely with our multidisciplinary colleagues and have a pivotal role in promoting client centred outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.
The caseload may consist of:
* Inpatients and outpatients of the Canberra Hospital
* Individual or group service delivery
* Cognitive rehabilitation (e.g. for adult clients following stroke or traumatic brain injury)
* Opportunities to engage in research projects
* Education of staff and clients
Our Psychology team provide services across the Canberra Hospital, including neurology, neurosurgery, other medical and surgical wards, and we provide outpatients services.
While the position is advertised as full-time, part-time requests will be considered. This position is for parental leave backfill for a period of 14 months, with a possibility extension and/or permanency.
Our psychologists have access to Clinical Supervision and funded Professional Development opportunities.
