About the Role

Uniting Counselling & Mediation (UCM) Gosford is seeking a Counselling Coordinator to provide clinical leadership, guidance, and therapy across our community-based counselling services. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday (35 hours/week), with essential evening availability on Tuesdays (12pm–8pm) and one day per week working from our Wyong office.

This senior position offers a blend of clinical practice, team supervision, and leadership responsibilities. You'll play a key role in supporting complex decision-making—particularly in areas like domestic and family violence, trauma, and post-separation work.

About you in the role

* Provide scheduled and ad-hoc clinical supervision as well as group supervision, to a small team of counsellors and therapists.
* Deliver 15 face-to-face counselling sessions weekly to individuals, children, and couples.
* Support clients navigating family separation, family law matters, and complex systems (e.g., DCJ, mental health, Family Court).
* Conduct child consultations within child-inclusive practice frameworks.
* Offer mentorship and operational support to new and existing team members.
* Collaborate in SOS (Supervision of Supervision) meetings, training, and clinical reflection spaces.
* Step up as acting manager during periods of leave.

About you

* A postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in counselling, with a strong background in trauma and domestic/family violence.
* Previous leadership experience – whether through formal team leadership, clinical supervision, or acting-up in a senior role.
* Eligibility to provide clinical supervision.
* A warm, humble, and collaborative approach – you're someone who lifts others and builds trust in the team.
* Experience navigating and collaborating across multiple systems (e.g., legal, health, child protection).

Even Better

* Experience in couples therapy, post-separation counselling, or family dispute resolution.
* Experience working with fathers and men navigating parenting or separation.
* Familiarity with court-ordered programs and child-inclusive frameworks.

Why Join Us?

* At Uniting, we offer:
* Salary packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay.
* Wellbeing programs to support your health and work-life balance.
* Learning and development opportunities to grow your career.
* A diverse, inclusive, and flexible workplace where you are valued.
* Regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing support to ensure you succeed.
