About the Role
As a Senior Microsoft Windows Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting major transformation initiatives by leading the design, deployment, and management of secure Microsoft Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, manage, and support Windows Server platforms including Active Directory, DNS, PKI, WSUS, and Remote Desktop Services.
* Design, test, and deploy new Windows OS builds, maintain system images, and integrate with VMware environments.
* Deploy and manage Microsoft SQL Server Clusters in secure infrastructure environments.
* Automate server tasks and systems operations.
* Integrate Windows platforms with MFA solutions and enterprise security tools.
* Perform routine system health checks and proactively monitor hardware/software performance.
* Manage backup and recovery services for virtualised systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows and virtual environment issues.
* Plan and execute server migrations as required.
Requirements
* Proven experience designing and deploying Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Cluster configuration and management.
* Experience integrating Windows systems with security software and enterprise tools.
* Solid understanding of virtualisation platforms, preferably VMware.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Prior experience supporting government ICT projects or similar high-assurance environments.
