Business Development Role.
This is a key position in the growth area of our business, where your primary objectives will be to achieve ambitious sales targets, build relationships with brokers and cultivate a strong pipeline. The target market for this role is insurance brokers in AU/NZ.
Key responsibilities.
* Identify & Pursue Opportunities.
Pinpoint potential target customers, understand their needs and pain points, and establish relationships to generate qualified sales leads through various channels (networking, cold calling, referrals).
* Deliver New Revenue.
Manage the sales pipeline, conduct product demonstrations, present to prospective customers, and negotiate/close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
* Develop Industry Partnerships.
Identify and build relationships with potential partners, negotiate mutually beneficial agreements, and collaborate on joint marketing and sales initiatives.
* Build Account Plans.
For high-profile and enterprise accounts; work as a team to create and implement strategies for expanding our presence in Tier 1, strategic growth accounts.
* Sales & CRM Reporting.
Track key sales metrics, provide regular updates to management, keep our CRM (Hubspot) updated, and develop accurate sales forecasts.
What You'll Bring.
1. Proven experience in business development or sales. Ideally within the Insurance industry or financial services. Experience with selling SaaS solutions is a plus, but not mandatory.
2. A demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
3. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
6. A self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive mindset.
7. The ability to gain knowledge of Insurance market trends, competition, and customer needs.
Location & work model.
Melbourne preferred. Remote in Australia or New Zealand also considered.
Salary range.
AUD$120k to $180k on-target-earnings.
