 
        
        We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining food quality and consistency, and ensuring a smooth service – especially during high-volume weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
· Supervise kitchen staff and ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation
· Oversee food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene practices in compliance with regulations
· Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
· Ensure productive stock management and coordinate with suppliers
· Lead by example during service, maintaining composure and leadership under pressure
· Step in for the Head Chef as needed
· Train and lead team
· Collaborating with managers, kitchen staff, and waiting staff to address food regarding dietaries and preparation concerns.
Requirements
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Sous Chef or similar leadership role
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Monitor and help manage kitchen wages, labour costs, and scheduling to ensure efficiency and alignment with budget targets
· Deep knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
· Ability to manage a team and maintain a positive kitchen environment
· Available to work weekends and flexible shifts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
