Job Overview:
The role of an Electrical Inspector involves overseeing and reviewing various product installations to ensure quality control in accordance with AS/NZS standards.
This is a trade-qualified electrician position that requires recent experience working as an Electrician, assessing and reporting maintenance requests, driving company vehicles, and being computer literate.
Key responsibilities include inspecting electrical installations, validating compliance with AS/NZS Standards, Contract Documentation, Specifications, and standard of workmanship.
Inspections will be carried out for Smoke Alarm installations, switchboards, sub-circuits, electrical reticulation systems, LED lighting installations, and safety audits.
Technical issues will be investigated, and technical reports written, with regular reporting status of works to line managers and others.
To succeed in this role, candidates must have 3-5+ years of recent post-trade experience as an Electrician, confidence in communicating with Senior Management and ground staff, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and holding a Blue Card and Current QLD Driver's Licence.
A thorough understanding of AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules), the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations, and Codes of Practice is required, as well as completed training in asbestos-related work practices.
Candidates must also pass a criminal history check.
