We are looking for Call Centre Agents to work as part of a critical frontline service supporting Queensland communities
Location: Zillmere, QLD (on-site only)
Rate: $***** per hour + Super
Availability required: 24/7 shift work – shifts rostered in advance, you need to be available Monday to Sunday to be considered
Sector: State Government - multiple roles available
Anticipating Engagement: Casual, Minimum 20 hours per week.
There may be opportunity to work additional hours during peak periods or spikes in demand.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking reliable and composed Call Centre Agents to join a high-volume State Government contact centre.
As a Contact Centre Operator, you will be serving as the primary response team for emergency calls across Queensland.
In this fast-paced environment, you'll be the first point of contact for individuals in urgent or distressing situations, delivering clear, calm, and accurate assistance over the phone, via web chat, and email.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for emergency and priority calls from the public and partner agencies.
Manage a high volume of inbound calls, web chats, and emails, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Assess, triage, and elevate incidents in line with established emergency response protocols.
Maintain precise and up-to-date records within contact centre systems.
Handle distressed or challenging callers with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
Complete administrative and reporting tasks to support daily operations.
Work collaboratively as part of a 24/7 shift roster, ensuring consistent service coverage.
About You:
Experience in a contact centre environment, preferably with high-volume or emergency response operations.
Demonstrated digital capability, including experience with contact centre systems, web chat, email, and online assessments.
Proficient keyboard and computer skills, with strong data entry accuracy.
Ability to remain calm, focused, and composed under pressure.
Flexible and available for 24/7 shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays (rosters provided in advance).
Reliable, adaptable, and capable of commencing work at short notice.
Must be willing and able to undergo a criminal history check as a condition of employment.

Casual Loading
