About the role
The Office of the Chief Executive supports the Chief Executive and the Office of the Minister for Education to lead the development of a high performing system that improves the educational attainment and wellbeing of South Australia's children and young people.
The Senior Executive Officer reports to the Chief Executive on a day-to-day basis and is accountable to the Manager, Office of the Chief Executive for the provision of high quality, efficient and confidential secretarial service and high-level research, analysis and project support. In association with the Manager, the Senior Executive Assistant will manage the logistics and protocols associated with the functions of the Chief Executive and initiate and develop responses to enquiries from the public and Senior Departmental Officers.
The position is responsible for the coordination of matters relating to the strategic and operational business of the Chief Executive, Manager and senior staff members within the Office of the Chief Executive.
The Senior Executive Officer ensures the provision of a highly effective communication and liaison service for the Manager and Chief Executive and the development, monitoring and review of correspondence standards and processes that are efficient and professionally presented.
The position operates in a politically sensitive environment whereby confidentiality, discretion and integrity of the highest order is necessary.

Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO6 $98,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
