Job Overview:
* A key role exists for a skilled professional to provide technical training and coaching to Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprentices and new Technicians.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver technical training and develop the skills of less experienced technicians and apprentices, enabling them to undertake troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on Cummins products.
* Provide Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.
* Participate in regular Capability Trainer meetings and contribute updates on progress against Heavy Vehicle Mechanical milestone training plans for the apprentices in your branch/region.
* Communicate regularly with Supervisors, Workshop Manager and Service Manager regarding training program delivery schedules.
* Maintain a focus on apprentice safety by participating in extended pre-start meetings to ensure their understanding of workplace hazards and risk.
* Contribute to the annual Apprentice Onboarding Program.
Requirements
* Advanced knowledge and experience with Heavy Duty Engine products are essential.
* Previous experience providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians is highly desirable.
* Possess or be willing to work towards achievement of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* Minimum 4 years post trade apprenticeship completion is preferred.
* Candidates must be based in Melbourne and willing to travel across the region as required.
