We are on the search for a new nurse to join our expanding team at Gawler East, South Australia.
About Us
Cameron Veterinary Services has been owned and operated by Dr Lachlan Cameron since March 2020. Starting as a mobile service caring for predominately large animals the clinic has expanded to a purpose built site, catering for small animals at both our Gawler East and Mt Pleasant sites. We are a flexible, family orientated clinic with a close-knit team
The Clinic
Our Gawler East clinic has three consult rooms, separate surgical theatre, sterile preparation area, separate dog and cat wards, imaging room and offices. Our Mt Pleasant site offers consultation rooms, and services the local community, with surgeries being performed at our Gawler East clinic.

We are dedicated to providing a high-quality level of service to our clients, but not doing so at the cost of our staff We have created a supportive and friendly working environment, where our staff want to come to work and really want to help our clients. We have fortnightly huddles with lunch provided discussing all things from clinical cases, team support and catch ups

* Confident, with expert client communication and customer care skills.
* Has experience in the industry, as they may be the sole nurse available at times
* Looking to help be part of an expanding team. We are looking to expand the team over the coming years, so someone who is a keen team member and leader helping to grow the clinic.

Type of Work
* Managing anaesthetics for routine and complex surgical cases
* Hospitalisation, in patient care, routine health checks, nurse consultations
* Client communication and assistance in providing veterinary care to both in patients and consultations
* Ongoing learning opportunities for the right person
Hours of Work
The clinic is open six days a week. Monday - Friday 8-5pm and Saturdays from 9-12pm.
* Full time position 76 hours a fortnight
* No after hours, overtime or weekends
Remuneration
The expected pay range will be between $32-36 an hour dependent on experience.
Standard Requirements
* The position will require a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
* Minimum 2+ years experience in the veterinary industry
* A strong understanding of veterinary nursing and its duties
* High experience in anaesthetics, surgical nursing, hospitalised patients
* Ability to conduct nurse consults or willing to learn
