The Role
Eaton CC is seeking a committed and culturally responsive Aboriginal Student Support Officer to enhance the wellbeing, engagement, and success of our Aboriginal students. In this role, you will work closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to deliver effective support strategies and culturally appropriate interventions that strengthen connections between students, their families, the school, and the wider community.
The successful applicant will contribute to case management, provide social and emotional support, and assist in crisis response, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment. As part of the Student Services team, you will ideally encourage and support students to engage meaningfully in their education and achieve their personal goals, while also supporting staff to create and maintain safe and inclusive learning environments.
Our ideal applicant will bring a positive and caring approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders. be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
