Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to perform simple to complex investigations, in all disciplines for which the Caboolture Laboratory is responsible.
* Ability to efficiently prioritize specimens, perform tests accurately and efficiently without direct supervision and work independently towards the logical solution of scientific and technical problems.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to communicate effectively with clients, clinical staff and colleagues.
* Demonstrated ability (or ability to rapidly acquire the skill) to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation / certification.
* Demonstrated commitment to the provision of a client-focused and cost-effectively laboratory service.
* Availability to work various shifts (24/7) as required for the efficient running of the Caboolture Laboratory.
