Residential Youth Worker
Why IFYS?
At IFYS, we're committed to creating a supportive environment where both our clients and staff feel valued, empowered, and inspired.
We believe our people are our greatest strength and continually invest in staff wellbeing through initiatives such as the Sanctuary Model of Care.
We are an inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and difference and encourage applications from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people.
About the Opportunity
The IFYS Child Protection Residential Care Programs support children and young people needing a safe, dependable, and nurturing living environment.
Reporting to the Case Manager, Residential Youth Workers deliver the day-to-day care to young people in the Residential Care house.
A typical day may include supporting young people to manage challenging behaviours, planning or attending activities, and following daily routines to promote life-skills development.
You will complete case notes and admin tasks daily and help maintain a clean and safe environment.
Candidates with transferrable skills from working with vulnerable people who display challenging behaviours are strongly encouraged to apply.
