Area Sales Manager – Queensland, Australia
ADI Global Distribution is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our sales team in Queensland. The successful candidate will manage customer accounts across Brisbane and Western Australia, with a strong focus on field sales within the technology and distribution sectors.
Job Duties
* Proactively identify and acquire new customers through research, outreach and market insight.
* Assess market potential, monitor competitors and provide insights on opportunities and threats to inform sales strategy.
* Analyse sales performance, identify key trends and execute plans to achieve turnover, margin and KPI targets.
* Plan and manage customer appointments, owning the relationship end‐to‐end to grow revenue, margin and long‐term loyalty.
* Use Salesforce daily to maintain accurate customer data, manage pipelines and record all activities.
* Identify and develop new prospects, generate interest in the product portfolio and increase category penetration within existing accounts.
* Communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders to support customer outcomes.
* Apply strong sales skills—including qualification, handling objections and closing—to secure new and incremental business.
* Promote and sell an evolving product portfolio, aligning solutions to customer needs.
* Maintain effective internal communication on customers, products and services to maximise sales growth opportunities.
* Ensure ongoing customer satisfaction by coordinating after‐sales support with internal resources.
* Resolve conflicts professionally to protect and enhance customer relationships.
* Effectively multi‐task and self‐manage day‐to‐day scheduling and priorities.
Requirements
* Experience in a field sales role or equivalent experience.
* Experience in a B2B sales environment.
* Excellent communication and people skills.
* Good planning and organisational skills.
* Valid driving licence.
Preferred Skills
* Proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices.
* Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.
* Knowledge of the security industry is beneficial.
* Ability to influence customers while maintaining healthy relationships.
* Commercially astute with a deep understanding of sales growth, margin and profitability.
* Excellent opening, negotiating and closing skills.
