This role is a full‐time position, Monday to Friday, offered on a 12‐month maximum‐term contract.
The Branch Manager is a key leadership role overseeing a high‐performing team across technical, customer service, and administrative functions. About The RoleAs the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the Wollongong branch, ensuring safe operations, strong financial outcomes, and exceptional service delivery. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team, drive continuous improvement, and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders across the region. This role includes 25–50% travel across NSW/ACT and reports directly to Gaston Chan.
What You'll Be DoingLeading all branch operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and complianceManaging P&L, monitoring sales and service performance, and implementing strategies to meet business targetsCoaching, mentoring, and developing a high‐performing teamActing as the primary escalation point for customer issues and strengthening key relationshipsConducting regular customer visits to identify opportunities and enhance service deliveryUsing data insights to forecast, measure, and optimise branch performanceOverseeing workforce planning, scheduling, and trainingCollaborating with internal teams across NSW/ACT to support seamless customer coverageDriving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencyRepresenting the branch professionally and supporting organisational values
EssentialWhat We're Looking ForProven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teamsStrong commercial acumen, including budgeting, reporting, customer management, and data analysisExperience in operational roles with a track record of improving performanceExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to thrive in dynamic, fast‐paced environmentsStrong organisational capability and commitment to safety
DesirableTertiary qualifications in Business and/or a mechanical trade backgroundExperience with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipmentExposure to heavy industry, mining, or workshop environmentsFamiliarity with short‐ and long‐term maintenance planningUnderstanding of service or technical operational workflows
