HV Technical Cable Jointer

We are a growing and highly regarded High Voltage contracting company delivering specialist HV installation, cable jointing, testing, commissioning, and network services across Australia. Due to continued project growth, we are seeking an experienced HV Technical Cable Jointer to join our team.
This role offers the opportunity to work across utility, infrastructure, industrial, and renewable energy projects within a safety-focused and quality-driven environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality HV and LV installation and jointing works in accordance with Australian Standards, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements.
Your duties will include:
* Installation of overhead conductors, aerial equipment, and associated infrastructure
* Installation of underground cables and network assets
* Transformer installation, connections, and maintenance activities
* Fault finding, emergency call-outs, and breakdown response
* Maintenance and replacement of poles, crossarms, and associated hardware
* Ensuring continuity of supply and public lighting systems
* Routine inspection and servicing of overhead and underground distribution networks
* Performing low-voltage switching operations in accordance with procedures
* Preparation and installation of LV and HV cable joints and terminations
* Installation and connection of switchgear, RMUs, and related equipment
* Operation of EWPs and other plant, along with hydraulic and specialised tooling
* Participation in substation installation, maintenance, testing, and metering works where required
What We're Looking For
* Demonstrated experience as an HV Technical Cable Jointer within Australia
* Electrical trade qualification
* HV jointing certification (Raychem, Nexans, Prysmian or equivalent preferred)
* Current White Card
* EWP, Working at Heights, and switching tickets (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of HV safety practices and network procedures
* Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
