Our client is a global leader in manufacturing and gas handling solutions across sectors including power generation, oil and gas, waste water, metals, mining, infrastructure and transport. We are currently seeking a Site Planner for a short term contract. This position will ensure planned works are carried out in line with mine site requirements and standards, ensuring deadlines are safety achieved. This position will be based close to Mt Isa with meals, accommodation and flights included.
The role:
* Update and maintain existing project schedule by liaising with the site manager, and mechanical and electrical supervisors to capture site progress accurately.
* Distribute and communicate schedule updates to relevant stakeholders.
* Provide regular updates to Project Manager.
* Present the project schedule in internal and external meetings
* The current project Schedule is maintained in MS Project.
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in a similar role working on a mine site
* Experience with Primavera P6 will be highly regarded but not a requirement for this specific project.
* Current coal board medical
* Drivers licence
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Commitment to safety and following policy and procedure
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy with a high level of cultural sensitivity
* Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and work both independently and in a team environment
* Ability to work under pressure while keeping a positive and result- driven attitude
* High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain high level of accuracy
* High level of PC literacy, especially MS Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer
