Leadership Position in Retail Portfolio Management
The role of a Retail Manager is a key position in the retail portfolio, requiring strong leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate lease renewals and administer associated tasks efficiently.
* Manage lease documentation processes to ensure accurate and timely completion.
* Monitor debtor situations to identify critical retailers and proactively manage their accounts.
* Maintain relationships with all retailers through ongoing communication and support.
* Manage arrears, percentage rent, and audited sales figures to ensure retailers are trading within permitted use of their leases.
* Identify new leases, assignments, renewals, and surrenders to optimize the retail portfolio.
* Support the Centre Manager in team management, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
* Prepare monthly financial reports to track portfolio performance.
Requirements:
* Significant experience working within shopping centres or retail portfolios, ideally at Retail Manager or Assistant Centre Management level.
* Sound understanding of Retail Tenancy Act regulations.
* High level of numeracy/financial skills to manage budgets and finances effectively.
* Tertiary education in finance or property-related field (desired).
* Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to effectively manage stakeholders.
