This role is a unique chance to contribute to the justice system by providing vital support to the management team and assisting in the delivery of an effective and efficient court operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise staff in the manned court area and prepare duty rosters, including allocating daily duties and staff.
* Ensure the correct deployment of staff across the region and be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the Care & Custody Officers under your control.
* Manage custody areas within the court, maintain a direct relationship with the Control function that manages the operation, and liaise with the Court Coordinator on all staffing matters.
* Check all warrants and other relevant official paperwork in your delegated court and ensure that all courts within the cluster are effectively manned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate III in Corrective Practice and Control and Restraint qualified.
* Senior First Aid and CPR or equivalent qualification.
* Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting staff, preferably within a custodial environment.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused quality service delivery.
* Thorough knowledge of the PIC court and custody business.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong leadership potential.
* Great computer skills for the purposes of reporting and data capture management.
* Good communication skills to engage with stakeholders, including courts and police.
* The ability to problem-solve and act on your own initiative.
* A willingness to form part of a wider team operating across the contract.
* Applicants must be flexible (working hours) and have a positive outlook.
* Hold a Manual Driving Licence (MR or above highly desirable).
