About the role
Bread in Common is seeking duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our renowned Fremantle restaurant.
You will be responsible in assisting leading and motivating the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the efficient running of the restaurant. This is a casual position with full time hours - Level 3 or 4 pending on experience.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and direct the front-of-house team, including waitstaff, bartenders, and hostesses
* Create and implement strategies to enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency
* Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to maximise profitability
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and the timely delivery of orders
* Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and reservations in a professional and courteous manner
* Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
* Assist with the development and implementation of staff training programs
* Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making processes of the restaurant
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar management role
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
* Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
* WSET Diploma or CMS Advanced certification is preferred, but not essential
* Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and financial management
* Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including liquor licensing and compliance
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
