**About the role**
We are searching for dedicated and passionate people to join our Southern Downs Home Care team as Home Care Workers. A Home Care Worker is responsible for providing our home care clients with assistance, support and encouragement of independence to live in their chosen community. Cover areas of the Southern Downs including Warwick, Stanthorpe, Killarney, Pratten, Allora, Wallangarra and everywhere in between
In this varied role you will:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, for example showering, dressing and continence care;
- Help clients with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation and other light housework;
- Assisting clients by transporting them to appointments and undertaking personal shopping;
- Assisting with medication;
- Support in the development of a consumer driven care plan;

This role will be ideal for people who are caring, empathetic and seeking a career that will make a difference. You will be someone who enjoys taking the time to build relationships with client.
To be suitable for this position, you will have:
- A current driver's licence and willingness to use own insured and reliable vehicle for work purposes (km's paid);
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house and manual work;
- A current First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willingness to complete;
- Possess, or have the willingness to obtain, a National Police Check;
- A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent is needed, for Qualified home care workers.
- Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication. HLTAAP001 -Recognise healthy body systems. CHCCCS011 - Meet personal support needs;
