Two Franks is a new local Cafe & General Store opening in a suburban pocket of Coburg, located in a 100-year-old butcher shop, fulfilling a lifelong goal to create a nostalgic and community-oriented space featuring top Melbourne suppliers.

THE VENUE
Nestled between Sydney Road and Melville Road in Coburg is the soon to be open Two Franks - a 30 year old dream of two local sisters, in a 100-year old butcher shop.
When our family first arrived to the area, the local butcher was named Frank. When he retired and handed the keys over to a new butcher, he was also named Frank. So, while we've been here, there's not just been one Frank in the shop, but two Franks.
And our cafe name was born.
We have been busy transforming the old butcher shop into a new local Cafe & General Store that brings back the nostalgia and the memories of our past and the community that helped shape us.
We have worked with and continue to work with top Melbourne suppliers like Small Batch Coffee (our roaster), Sebby's Scrolls, Madeleine de Proust, Catchlove Flowers and Back Alley Bakes.
THE ROLE
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages to customers
- Operate coffee equipment and ensure that it is in good working order
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and surrounding areas
- Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service
- Take customer orders and process payments
- Prepare and serve food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and salads
- Assist in restocking and inventory management as needed
- Contribute to the overall success of the cafe by working collaboratively with other team members
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Barista or in a similar role
- Good knowledge of coffee, including different brewing methods and roasts
- Ability to operate coffee equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Flexibility in work schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow with the team
