Your new role
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Meeting client needs in the least restrictive way possible;
* Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports;
* Mentoring clients and assisting them to develop independent living skills;
* Assisting the client in problem-solving, conflict resolution and relapse reduction;
* Managing complex and challenging client behaviours (including aggressive behaviours)
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate, it is a mandate to meet the following criteria:
* Homelessness support sector or related field
* Always ensure confidentiality of client information
* Certificate III in Community Services or related field
* Effective communication and time management skills
* Ability to work unsupervised at times as well as an effective team member
* At least one (1) year of experience as a Support or Crisis Worker or equivalent

We are looking for a number of casual Crisis Support Workers in both Mackay and Rockhampton. The organisation runs a 24/7 facility; therefore, applicants must have availability and flexibility to work across 24/7 roster.
