Job Description
Security Officer / $16.50 per hour
Convenient Downtown Location / Must be 21 or Older
Shift: 3 pm – 11 pm / Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun

This position is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Financial Center Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may threaten the property, clients, guests, or employees at the site.
Responsibilities
Ensure the facility receives high-quality security services to protect people and property.
Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
Familiarize with site-specific operations manual and post orders.
Meet and maintain any applicable licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers.
Build and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
Assist guests and employees, answer questions, and greet in a professional manner.
Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
Cover multiple clients and locations as needed, including special projects, call-offs, vacations, and open shifts.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; at least 21 years old.
State and/or local licensing requirements; ability to obtain and maintain a valid Guard License.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to operate a vehicle.
Successful completion of background check and drug/alcohol test.
Energetic, focused, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
Ability to handle both common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
Professional communication skills, both oral and written.
Intermediate computer skills for operating wireless technology.
Highly organized, compliant, and integrity-driven.
Ability to prepare reports and understand operational procedures.
Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Environment
Regularly use hands, stand, sit, talk, hear, and read in English.
Walk, stand, reach, and operate a vehicle; lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Focus, multi-task, and manage stress professionally.
Adapt to changing environments and communicate clearly in English.
