About the role We’re looking for a hands-on Desktop Deployment Engineer to support a device rollout project. You’ll be responsible for reimaging, configuring, and troubleshooting laptops and mobile devices to ensure a smooth deployment and consistent end-user experience.
Key responsibilities
* Reimage and provision laptops, tablets, and mobile devices to standard images and configurations
* Apply OS builds, security patches, drivers, and software packages according to deployment plans
* Configure device management (MDM/EMM) profiles, policies, and certificates
* Perform hardware and software troubleshooting, escalate complex issues as needed
* Test and validate images, updates, and configuration changes before deployment
* Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and change logs for all assets
* Work with project leads, network, and security teams to meet rollout timelines
* Provide end-user support and communicate status during staging and rollout
* Follow security, compliance, and data-handling procedures during reimaging
Required skills & experience
* 2+ years’ experience in desktop/laptop deployment, device provisioning, or field support
* Experience reimaging Windows and macOS devices; familiarity with mobile platforms (iOS/Android)
* Hands-on experience with imaging tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM/ConfigMgr, Intune, Jamf, Acronis, Clonezilla, Autopilot)
* Familiar with MDM/EMM solutions, mobile enrollment, and policy configuration
* Solid troubleshooting skills for hardware, OS, drivers, and common enterprise applications
* Comfortable working to schedules and rollout checklists in a fast-paced project environment
* Good documentation, inventory management, and communication skills
* Valid ID and ability to handle company equipment securely
Preferred
* Certifications: Microsoft Modern Desktop, CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Jamf, Intune
* Experience with enterprise asset management systems and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
* Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash)
* Field or on-site deployment experience and working with mobile carriers or logistics
