About Us:
Oakenden State School is situated in a rural setting approximately 30 kilometres southwest of Mackay and 28 kilometres northwest of Sarina in the Eton-Homebush area. The school has served the Oakenden community since 1910. The community of Oakenden consists of approximately 80 people, living up to a distance of about 6 kilometres from the school. Cane farming and cattle are the primary occupations.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
* Lead professional learning initiatives to build teacher capacity and drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices.
* Oversee whole-school assessment processes, using data to monitor student progress, identify trends, and support staff in using data to differentiate instruction.
* Guide and support teachers in implementing evidence-based teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
* Facilitate collaborative planning, moderation, and consistent assessment and reporting practices across teams.
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of a cohesive, standards-aligned curriculum (Prep-Year 6), ensuring continuity and progression across year levels.
Applicants will be expected to work closely with the Principal and teaching staff, to provide leadership, coordination, and support in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the school's curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of all learners.
