About the opportunity
The Production Estimator is part of the Wilson Homes Estimating team and reports to the Production Estimating Manager.
In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to accurately determine and calculate quantities required from contract documentation and working drawings.
More specifically, you will:
Ensure the efficient and accurate production of building estimates
Check contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction
Ensure company-agreed turnaround timeframes and margin structures are adhered to
Complete quantity take-offs for building materials and labour
Issue and maintain purchase orders in accordance with the current purchasing/supplier agreements and methods of measurement
Complete subcontractor and credit invoices
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to final checking of team members' work and providing appropriate feedback
Perform other associated administrative duties
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values – better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger.
In addition, you will:
Have estimating experience in a similar role and industry
Possess excellent numeracy skills
Have understanding of the Building Code of Australia and NCC
Have exceptional computer skills with a medium to advanced knowledge of Excel
Show outstanding attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and a drive to reach targets
Be self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
