We have NATA accredited (ISO/IEC 17025) coal laboratories servicing all major coal ports in Australia, with significant involvement in the supervision of coal exports, quality control at mine sites and power plants, and borecore evaluation.
Job Description
Join us as an Onsite Laboratory Supervisor at Carmichael Mine, where you'll lead the daily operations of our coal testing laboratory with professionalism and precision. This is an opportunity to take charge, drive quality outcomes, and guide a dedicated team in a key site-based role.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist the SSE in monitoring and managing compliance with the Qld CMH&S Act and Regulations.
2. Reporting hazards, inspections, and safe act observations.
3. Complete incident investigations related to the onsite laboratory to identify root causes and adjust work practices accordingly in a timely manner.
4. Ensure effective communication with all internal and external customers.
5. Promote a work environment free from discrimination, where everyone is included and treated with respect.
6. Manage employee and staff leave.
7. Complete all activities and reporting in accordance with the Monthly Reporting Schedule.
8. Implement effective document control within the department.
9. Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, contractors, customers, suppliers, government agencies, neighbors, and the community.
Qualifications
1. RII competencies for light vehicle and laboratory equipment S1,2&3 G2.
2. Previous experience operating onsite laboratories.
3. Proficient in MS Office, including basic spreadsheet skills.
4. Knowledge of writing and mathematical/analytical principles.
5. Proficient in all aspects of laboratory operations.
