Leadership Opportunity in Emergency Department Nursing
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team in a permanent full-time role. Based at our Springfield campus, this individual will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare.
This state-of-the-art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it's set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
* This role will provide operational / clinical management and leadership to the Emergency Department in partnership with nursing, medical, allied health and administrative teams.
Achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care across Mater Health.
Maintain current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth.
Developing, improving and monitoring systems and processes to ensure service is managed effectively and efficiently.
Professionalline management of the nursing team.
Leading by example to provide high level clinical care for our patients.
Utilising expert level communication strategies to guide the team in achieving the unit's goals.
Essential Requirements:
5 years post-graduate specialty nursing experience, preferable in the unit's specialties.
Current AHPRA nursing registration with no restrictions.
* Solid understanding of private health care.
* Proven use of exceptional communication skill to motivate and lead a team to achieve goals.
* Strong change management skills and influencing / negotiating experience.
* Demonstrated competence in cost centre management.
* Willingness to role model and promote the Mater values.
