Job Title
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the prevention, screening, and early management of diabetes and hypertension within primary health care systems.
About the Role
The Program Officer will support the integration of Gender Equality Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) throughout a comprehensive program of work. This includes supporting the application of GEDSI principles across all RESist NCD workstreams in Papua New Guinea.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor's degree in international development, social work, community development, gender mainstreaming, political science, business administration, project management or any related field.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of practical demonstrated experience in GEDSI program coordination, capacity development, and/or training roles.
Responsibilities
* Support the application of GEDSI principles across all RESist NCD workstreams in Papua New Guinea.
* Assist in ensuring GEDSI Analysis, Strategy, and Action Plan documents reflect local contexts and priorities.
* Engage with local communities and GEDSI organisations to gather information on enablers and barriers to equitable access to NCD services, programs, and policies.
What We Offer
This is a part-time role requiring a commitment of 0.5 FTE (3 working days per week). The weekly schedule will be agreed upon with the supervisor.
