We are seeking a skilled Workshop Manager to join our Engineering team in Adelaide.
The successful candidate will have significant manufacturing/production experience in safety-critical operations, with a trade qualification as a mechanical or electrical technician. They will be responsible for managing and supporting Explosive Ordnance Projects, implementing best practices in safety, quality, and productivity.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Workshop Operations: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
* Manufacturing Planning: Develop and implement effective manufacturing plans, using tools such as MRP to optimize resource allocation and streamline processes.
* Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and calibrated, with minimal downtime.
* Safety Compliance: Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to WHS policies and procedures.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation of workshop activities, including reports on key performance indicators.
Candidates should have hands-on supervisory experience in a multi-discipline workshop environment, as well as leadership experience within technical quality frameworks. Experience with improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma is also beneficial.
