Overview
Asphaltech has an asphalt plant in Picton, WA. This is a full-time permanent position. If successful you will be required to deliver asphalt throughout the Bunbury and south west area. The ideal candidate will have experience driving Heavy Combination vehicles and experience of operating and tipping asphalt will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring the pre-start checklists are carried out prior to the operation of the truck and trailer.
* Daily operation of truck and trailer to safely cart asphalt to various worksites.
* Maintaining the truck and trailer in a clean and tidy condition according to cleaning schedule.
* Ensuring truck and trailer are free of any undue maintenance or service issues.
Qualifications & Experience
* Current valid HC Driver's Licence and ability to provide a Certified Record of Traffic Infringement Notices.
* Construction Industry White Card or equivalent.
* Proven experience as a qualified truck driver in a similar operating environment.
* Previous experience as an asphalt tipping truck driver will be highly regarded.
* Skills:
o Ability to drive an HC vehicle
o Able to reverse with a trailer
o Excellent communication skills
o Ability to give and receive instructions
o Ability to operate forklift and/or loader (highly regarded)
o Safe work practices as per company procedures
o Ability to accommodate early starts, weekend and night shift work
o Physically fit to carry out manual labour
* Education: Certificate I - IV (Required)

* Salary: $76,515.00 – $78,000.00 per year
