As our business continues to expand in Queensland, we are seeking a Transport Manager to take ownership of our road trucks and floats, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations. About the role Your initial responsibilities will include: Managing daily transport schedules, resource planning, and route allocations. Ensuring compliance with CoR, NHVR, HVNL, fatigue management, and WHS standards. Supervising and supporting drivers, including training, inductions, and performance management. Overseeing fleet maintenance, safety checks, and scheduling repairs. Monitoring utilisation, forecasting, and making recommendations for fleet improvements. Reporting on transport KPIs and driving continuous improvement in efficiency and cost control. Operating a variety of trucks, including quad, truck & trailer, and tandem tippers. Driving MC/HC trucks (including Road Ranger gearboxes) as required. Promoting Goldsmith’s values, culture, and safety-first approach. About You You’re a capable leader with proven transport management experience and the ability to step in as a professional truck driver when required. You combine strong compliance knowledge with practical driving skills and a team-first attitude. To be successful, you’ll bring: At least 5 years’ truck driving experience, including proficiency with Road Ranger gearboxes. Experience operating quad, truck & trailer, and tandem tipper trucks. A strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), plus knowledge of mass and fatigue management. Proven experience in transport operations, scheduling, and fleet management. Excellent communication skills – clear, respectful, and team-focused. A valid Construction Induction Card. A current Driver’s Licence and valid Heavy Combination (HC) licence (MC highly regarded). Attention to detail with the ability to complete accurate records and paperwork. Reliability, punctuality, and a solid team reputation. Full working rights.
