About the role:
The Nurse Educator is accountable for, at an advanced practice level the design, implementation, assessment and delivery of nursing education programs, managing educational resources, and providing paediatric nursing expertise to educational matters within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS).
The Nurse Educator leads and supports a culture of development and enquiry which actively encourages and facilitates clinical, professional and organisational learning within a Supported Practice Framework. The position is responsible for the delivery of the Transition Nurse Education Program for Paediatrics to ensure the learning and development and building capability within the paediatric nursing workforce.

* Salary range: $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (NG7)
* Annual leave with 17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
* Mandatory qualifications (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification) and proof of registration (AHPRA).
* Attainment of Neonatal Specific Competencies are mandatory for all nursing staff working within the Neonatal Unit.
* Possession of class C drivers' licence.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
* Probation period may apply.
* Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
