WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) is dedicated to transforming and sustaining primary health care across Western Australia. As one of the 31 Primary Health Networks (PHNs) in Australia, we manage three PHNs guided by our 2023 - 2026 Strategic Plan. About the role

As a Senior Developer within WA Primary Health Alliance's Digital Services Portfolio, you will design, develop, and support secure, scalable software applications on the Primary Health Insights (PHI) Platform. This includes managing CI/CD pipelines, implementing automation solutions, and ensuring data integrity and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external service providers, contribute to Agile and DevOps practices, and provide Tier 3/4 technical support. The role may lead or support projects, oversee code quality, and ensure compliance with development standards. Your work will support digital solutions that enhance primary health care across Western Australia.

Employment Type: Full-time Maximum Term contract for 2 years

Salary: Band 5 ($106k - $124k Plus 12% Superannuation)

Key tasks and responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain secure and scalable applications on the PHI Platform.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for automation and deployment.
- Provide Tier 3/4 technical support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service restoration.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
- Ensure code quality through version control, peer reviews, and adherence to development standards.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and project planning, including effort estimation and task management.
- Maintain technical, training, and user documentation to support ongoing development and knowledge sharing.
- Support the development and enforcement of secure coding practices and data protection strategies.

About you

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

Essential experience and education

- A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience with .NET and ASP.NET (C#).
- Front-end web development.
- Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
- Atlassian Suite or similar development tools.
- Experience working in Agile environments; relevant certification is highly regarded.
- Background in organisations with structured software design standards, application frameworks, and formal development training.
