About the School
Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy is a senior campus located on Darkinjung land. We foster a culture of holistic support and high expectations, preparing students to be critical thinkers and informed citizens. The campus serves Years 10‐12 with over 50 senior courses, health services training, sporting academies, recording studios, and more than 9 vocational courses. We support diverse learning needs, including six special education classes and comprehensive student services.
Specific Selection Criteria
* Required teacher training and academic qualifications.
* Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with the school executive team to drive evidence‐based teaching initiatives aligned with the strategic excellence plan.
* Ability to lead Stage 5 & 6 HSIE programs, fostering student achievement and staff development.
* Proven track record of improving HSC growth and student outcomes through data‐driven practices.
* Commitment to high‐quality teaching and learning informed by ongoing professional learning.
General Selection Criteria
* Successful teaching experience with capacity for classroom improvement.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare; ability to design inclusive teaching programmes.
* Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of teams.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, staff, and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
Conditions
* An unconditional full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education is required. If not held, applicants must commence the approval process concurrently with their application.
