About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to support restoration and construction projects by preparing accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and pricing documentation. While the role title includes "Project Supervisor," the position is primarily estimation‐focused, supporting pricing strategy, financial planning, and tender submissions across multiple service areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accurate costing for current and future projects.
* Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost plans, and pricing documentation for tenders and internal approvals.
* Evaluate project feasibility and prepare cost estimates for vendor and subcontractor selection.
* Monitor actual project expenditures against initial estimates and budgets to assess cost effectiveness.
* Coordinate staff, subcontractors, and internal resources to support project planning and delivery.
* Supervise and coordinate Restoration Technicians to ensure quality outcomes, efficient resource utilisation, and timely project completion.
* Generate expenditure statements, progress reports, and completion timelines.
* Develop and manage project schedules and timelines for restoration and construction.
* Conduct site visits to oversee works, ensure safety compliance, and support client interactions.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to enhance efficiency and resolve project issues.
* Train and mentor new employees on company procedures, policies, and technologies.
Key Selection Criteria
* Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or a related field; an Australian master's degree is advantageous.
* Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in construction or restoration estimating.
* Demonstrated experience preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and cost plans.
* Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and estimating documentation.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
