Contract start 07 August **** to 12 months, 12 months extensions.
The Office of the CIO is implementing major infrastructure and operational transformations to support the Strategic Objectives of the NDIA.
The OCIO work is structured into Programs, each consisting of multiple technology projects.
The NDIA Program Manager works directly to the OCIO Technology Delivery Office (TDO) to lead Programs of works supporting the agency transformation.
This position will lead multiple projects within the OCIO portfolio either directly, or via the oversight of one or more ICT Project Managers.
This position has a secondary reporting line to the Program sponsor responsible for the NDIA outcomes.
Duties
Management of the Program ensuring agency program management standards are adhered to.
Establish and hold regular Program planning, reporting and governance forums.
Resolve roadblocks or elevate to the TDO, Senior Management or Program Sponsor where required.
Produce regular Program reports, including key metrics on progress and program health.
Establish and deliver the outputs of the Program within the agreed deadlines.Ensure the Projects within the program meet the requirements of Service Design, Transition, and Cyber Security.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with Senior ICT and Business stakeholders.
Coordinate the allocation of workload with the delivery teams for inclusion in Sprints ensuring that Technology and Business teams are effectively delivering against the work plan.
Every application requires addressing selection criteria as part of the application submission.
1. Demonstrated minimum 5 years experience managing ICT projects and programs, both through adhering to a common industry program governance framework in complex agencies.
2. Experience with the following technology domains will be highly regarded: Identity and Access Management, Desktop, Network, Cyber Security, Unified Communications, Software Development, Cloud Infrastructure, ERP, or CRM systems.
3. Experience using Portfolio and Project management tools.
4. Experience operating within a DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineer environment (SRE)
