THE ROLE
We're looking for a hands‐on Electronic Lighting Technician with a strong understanding of electronics within the lighting industry.
This is a practical, workshop‐based role. You'll be involved in assembling lighting products, fault‐finding, testing, and improving existing designs. You'll also be the go‐to technical person on the production floor, helping answer day‐to‐day electronic and electrical questions as they arise.
You enjoy technical work, like solving problems, and get genuine satisfaction from seeing products completed properly. You're comfortable rolling up your sleeves and staying close to the work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assemble and test lighting products to specification
* Diagnose and fault‐find electronic and electrical issues
* Repair and improve existing lighting products
* Act as the main electronics reference for the team
* Support day‐to‐day technical questions on the floor
* Identify risks, delays, or design issues early and resolve them practically
* Create and maintain product build documentation and technical notes
* Manage product files, drawings, and related backend documentation
* Suggest and implement practical improvements to products and processes
* Work closely with a small production team in a collaborative environment
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Strong hands‐on experience with electronics (lighting industry experience highly regarded)
* Solid understanding of electronic components, fault‐finding, and testing
* Practical, solutions‐focused mindset
* Comfortable taking ownership and working autonomously
* Reliable, organised, and detail‐oriented
* Confident supporting others with technical questions
* Experience with lighting products and systems
* Home automation and lighting control systems exposure
* AutoCAD and/or Fusion 360 experience
* ERP or backend systems (e.g. Cin7, Odoo, Dynamics)
* Exposure to fabrication processes, 3D printing, or laser cutting
