Overview
Develop and grow with us in a brand-new, purpose‐built Queensland Distribution Centre in Karawatha.
Roster: Monday to Friday – Day shift (0600 - 1400).
Day to Day Responsibilities
* Provide a safe working environment by completing daily site/department inspections, implementing preventative and corrective actions, and promoting a positive safety culture.
* Support operations to ensure on‐time delivery and other service KPIs by reporting issues, gaps or shortfalls and exploring cost‐effective opportunities.
* Coach and mentor transport operations teams to develop and maintain an engaged workforce, promoting CARES values.
* Manage daily labour hours in conjunction with scheduled routes, budgets and volume forecasts.
* Maintain fleet compliance with legislative and customer requirements.
* Monitor and review master route schedules for potential efficiencies and encourage continuous improvement.
* Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and monitor performance against budgets and forecasts.
* Implement employee training and development initiatives and address performance concerns.
* Encourage and drive a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role, ideally within Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Transport Management.
* Experience within multiple temperature zones in a Fast‐Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment is an advantage.
* Ability to connect and motivate a diverse team through inclusive people‐management principles.
* Willingness to take initiative and drive results to meet and exceed business KPIs while upholding safety and customer service.
* Ability to think critically in complex situations, handle ambiguity and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
* Knowledge and experience of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) requirements.
* Intermediate to advanced IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
